Sixteen migrant workers were detained this week in Franklin County by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The detentions took place over Tuesday and Wednesday in Rangeley. Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols confirmed on Friday that several of these workers were booked into the Franklin County Jail as Border Patrol holds. Some of them were later transferred to another facility, though the specific location was not disclosed. An officer at the Somerset County Jail in Madison confirmed that 12 of the migrant workers were transferred from Franklin County Jail on Thursday. As of Friday morning, their booking records were still available at Franklin County Jail. The names of some of the detained individuals include Roman Boberskyi, Andres Hernandez, and Bettsi Siles, among others.
