Sixteen NFL teams signed new quarterbacks in free agency
In the early days of NFL free agency, 16 quarterbacks have signed new contracts, and three have been traded. Notably, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers remain unsigned, with Wilson meeting with the Browns and Giants. The Raiders traded for Geno Smith, sending a 2025 third-round pick to Seattle. Smith, who led the league in completion rate last season, is expected to negotiate a contract extension with Las Vegas. Seattle signed Sam Darnold to replace Smith, while the Jets released Rodgers and signed Justin Fields. The Colts added Daniel Jones to compete with Anthony Richardson for their starting quarterback position.
