Smuggler arrested with 4.5 kg heroin in Amritsar

Amritsar rural police arrested a drug smuggler on Saturday, seizing 4.5 kg of heroin. The suspect, identified as Harpreet Singh, was caught following a tip-off about his activities. The police set up a patrol near his village after receiving information. They apprehended Harpreet Singh, also known as Love, on the outskirts of Shahura village with the heroin in his possession. A case has been filed against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. An investigation is currently ongoing. Authorities believe that Harpreet has ties to smugglers in Pakistan and is involved in heroin trafficking. Police officials are working to uncover his connections and any other individuals involved in the drug trade. They are also looking into any illegally acquired properties linked to the suspect for further legal action.
