Snow covers Cheltenham Racecourse before day two races

Snow has covered the Cheltenham Racecourse ahead of day two of the festival. The weather changed from clear skies to snow showers, with the Met Office warning of possible temporary snow accumulation. This follows a dramatic opening day where two top horses, Constitution Hill and State Man, fell during the Champion Hurdle. Both horses are reported to be fine, according to trainer Willie Mullins.
