Snow plow truck catches fire in Bay Village
On March 6, police in Bay Village, Ohio, responded to a report of a car fire on Lake Road. A commercial snow-plow truck was found fully engulfed in flames. Officers blocked the road until the fire department arrived to put out the fire. Earlier, on March 4, an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Cleveland, had a suspension for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OVI). He received a citation, and his car was towed. He will face charges in Rocky River Municipal Court. On the same day, police conducted another traffic stop near the Rocky River border. The driver had a warrant issued by the Rocky River Police Department. After confirming his identity, officers arrested him for the warrant. On March 8, a resident reported a computer scam. The man clicked a pop-up that disabled his computer. He was misled into withdrawing $15,000 and depositing it into BitCoin to clear fake charges. After realizing it was a scam, he contacted the police, who are now investigating the incident.
