Son arrested for murdering parents in Azusa, California
A 28-year-old man has been arrested for the murders of his parents in Azusa, California. Gabriel Luis Contreras was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of assault with a firearm. The couple, Linda Rodriguez, 50, and Arthur Contreras, 58, were found dead in their home on March 15. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the killings. Police arrived at the residence after neighbors reported hearing screams. They found Gabriel Contreras outside the home with injuries that required hospitalization. Both victims had apparent knife wounds. Linda Rodriguez also had a gunshot wound to the head, according to the medical examiner. Gabriel Contreras is currently being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles on a $2 million bail.
