Son kills mother, injures her partner in Tripura

A man in Tripura has been arrested for killing his mother and injuring her partner. The incident happened in the Sarojini gram panchayat of Kailashahar. Malen Chasha, a 30-year-old tea laborer, was taken into police custody for three days after the tragic event. The police say the mother, Yashoda Chasha, had been in a live-in relationship with a man named Subal Bauri since her husband died ten years ago. Malen lived with his mother and her partner, but there were frequent fights between them. On Saturday, a small argument escalated. Malen reacted by hitting his mother and then Subal with a club. Neighbors rushed them to a hospital, but Yashoda was declared dead on arrival. Subal is in critical condition. During police questioning, Malen admitted to the attack. He expressed that he had grown tired of the constant disputes between them but claimed he did not intend to kill anyone.
