Sony unveils advanced RGB LED TV technology this year

Sony has unveiled a new display technology called "New RGB LED," which offers improved color accuracy and detail compared to traditional LED and OLED screens. This technology allows for independent control of red, green, and blue light, achieving higher color purity. The New RGB LED displays will cover 99% of the DCI-P3 color space and 90% of the ITU-R BT.2020 standard. They will also feature advanced backlight control, enhancing color gradation and detail in images, especially in complex scenes. Sony plans to begin mass production of these TVs later this year, in collaboration with partners like MediaTek. The exact launch date for the first models has not been announced.
