SoundCloud launches new affordable plan for artists

SoundCloud has launched a new, lower-cost plan for artists called Artist, priced at $39 per year. This plan offers limited features compared to the previous Next Pro plan, now renamed Artist Pro. The Artist plan allows for three hours of uploads and includes options for track amplification and monetization, but with restrictions. Artists can earn 100% royalties from their SoundCloud plays and keep earnings from other platforms for two tracks per month. For $99 per year, the Artist Pro plan offers unlimited uploads and additional features like AI mastering credits. SoundCloud previously tested the Artist plan in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand before its wider release.
