South Africa unveils world's largest pineapple-shaped building in Bathurst

The Big Pineapple, located in Bathurst, South Africa, is the world's largest pineapple-shaped building, standing 16.7 meters tall. Completed in 1991, it celebrates the fruit's significance in the local agricultural economy. The four-storey building features a gift shop selling pineapple-themed products and a museum dedicated to the fruit. Visitors can access the observation deck and enjoy activities like tractor rides through the pineapple fields for a small fee. In addition to the Big Pineapple, South Africa has other unique structures, including a shoe-shaped building in Ohrigstad, which serves as a museum, guest house, and wedding venue.
