South Korea cancels award shows and music festivals following Jeju Air crash
South Korea is observing a seven-day mourning period after a Jeju Air plane crash at Muan International Airport on December 29. The crash resulted in the deaths of 179 passengers, with only two crew members surviving. In response to the tragedy, several award shows and music festivals have been cancelled. MBC postponed the 2024 Gayo Daejejeon, originally set for December 31, to a later date, while SBS cancelled its Entertainment Awards scheduled for the same day.
