South Western Railway GM inspects operations and safety
Mukul Saran Mathur, the general manager of South Western Railway, recently conducted an inspection between Hubballi and Hosapete. This inspection focused on operational effectiveness and safety measures for train services. At Hosapete railway station, Mathur reviewed ongoing development projects. He looked at new passenger facilities and stressed the need for timely completion to improve comfort for travelers. He also inspected the station yard to check the safety procedures in place. Mathur advised railway staff to strictly follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of train operations. Later, he visited the carriage and wagon unit in Hosapete, where he talked with staff about maintenance standards. Additionally, he checked the crew lobby and running room, paying attention to cleanliness and hygiene. Mathur encouraged staff to keep a clean and healthy working environment. He was accompanied by Hubballi divisional railway manager Bela Meena and other senior officials during the inspection.
