Southern California's independent bookstores reveal bestsellers
This week, independent bookstores in Southern California released their bestsellers list for the week ending March 16. The list includes top-selling books in hardcover fiction, nonfiction, mass market paperbacks, and trade paperbacks. In hardcover fiction, the leading title is "Dream Count" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Other popular books include "All Fours" by Miranda July and "James" by Percival Everett. It is joined by classics like "Animal Farm" and "The Diary of a Young Girl" by Anne Frank. Other significant titles include "Women Who Run With the Wolves" and "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. Finally, in trade paperback fiction, "Martyr!" by Kaveh Akbar is number one. It is followed by "Parable of the Sower" by Octavia E. Butler and "Orbital" by Samantha Harvey. Other popular titles include "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood and "Fourth Wing" by Rebecca Yarros.
