SpaceX launches Starship on sixth test flight with Trump and Musk in attendance
SpaceX successfully launched its Starship rocket on a test flight today, marking the sixth test of the vehicle. The launch took place from Boca Chica, Texas, with notable attendees including Elon Musk and Donald Trump. The Super Heavy booster splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico after the flight. Unlike previous tests, SpaceX did not attempt to catch the booster with its robotic arms this time. Starship is designed to be a fully reusable spacecraft for missions to Earth orbit, the Moon, and Mars. The company is also developing launchpads in Florida for future operations.
