Speeding truck crashes into van, killing one in Sohna
A man was killed and ten others were injured in a crash on Sohna Road early Wednesday morning. The accident involved a speeding pickup truck that hit a passenger van, causing it to flip and land on a motorcycle at Ambedkar Chowk around 4:45 AM. The van was carrying 10 people who were traveling from Palwal to Rewari. The truck was speeding towards Sohna from Gurugram, while a motorcyclist was heading towards Delhi. The deceased man, identified as 52-year-old Imran Khan, worked at a private hospital in Delhi and was on his way to work when the crash happened. Witnesses said the truck driver did not slow down as he approached the busy intersection. The van was crossing the intersection when the truck collided with it, causing the van to flip multiple times. The van eventually came to rest after hitting the motorcycle, which crushed the rider. The truck driver fled the scene after abandoning his vehicle. Commuters helped pull out the injured and took them to a nearby hospital. Sadly, doctors declared Khan dead upon arrival. Following the incident, Khan's brother filed a police report against the truck driver, who has not yet been identified. Khan’s body was returned to his family after an autopsy later that evening.
