His competitors, Sue Panaluna from Devon and Samir Chadha from West London, both guessed "The United States." Sue wagered £1,800, while Samir bet £2,250. Both ended up with £0, tying for second place. The correct answer was "What is Great Britain?" This may surprise some, as the United States did not participate in the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics due to a boycott.
