"Sringaram" now streaming on Thanithirai platform

Initially, Aditi Rao was considered for a supporting role, but director Sharada Ramanathan changed the script, making her the lead. This surprised Aditi, but she eventually embraced the opportunity. The film is set during the Devadasi era, spanning from the 1920s to the 1950s. It tells the story of a dancer facing exploitation. Notable figures worked on the film, including renowned choreographer Saroj Khan and cinematographer Madhu Ambat. "Sringaram" was digitally remastered in 4K and re-released in December 2024 to celebrate the Margazhi season in Chennai. The cast also includes Manoj K Jayan, Hamsa Moily, and Y Gee Mahendra.
