St Marys Bay apartment owners cancel titles to sell land

Owners of The Ridge apartments in St Marys Bay can now sell their land after canceling their unit titles. A High Court judge, Ian Gault, approved this action on March 20. The owners have been dealing with severe issues related to their properties. There are 33 units in the building located at 23 Hargreaves St. The owners sought approval after trying all other options to resolve their problems. Their lawyer, Tim Rainey, specializes in cases involving leaky buildings. He stated that this decision allows owners to salvage whatever they can from a bad situation. The Ridge apartments were converted from an office block in the late 1990s. Rainey described the outcome as positive, given the complicated nature of property ownership in this case.
