Stalker 2 to improve upgrades; no New Game Plus
Developers of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl have confirmed that key upgrades will be added to the game world. However, the popular feature known as New Game Plus will not be included. GSC Game World is making various updates to improve player experience. The planned changes will allow players to find important upgrades and weapon attachments in different areas of the game rather than only at the end. Previously, looking for these upgrades was restricted to late-game content. Responding to fan inquiries about New Game Plus, GSC Game World stated that the feature is not currently part of their plans. They plan to move upgrades from the "Point of No Return" to stashes in the open world, making them more accessible to players. The developers want players to earn multiple endings and experience the game as intended. This means using high-level weapons and upgrades from the start would not fit with their vision of gameplay. Finally, while New Game Plus could be introduced in the future, there are no immediate plans for it. Meanwhile, the company continues to work on expansions and improvements for the game.
