Star Citizen launches free play event with new tutorials for players

Star Citizen is hosting a free play event from now until December 5, coinciding with its annual Intergalactic Aerospace Expo. The event includes a new IAE Academy system that offers tutorials for new and returning players. Players can test new ships and complete missions like bounty hunting and cargo hauling. Completing the new player experience allows access to various ships and rewards, including in-game currency and gear. New ships introduced include the Terrapin Medic and expanded F7C Mk II models. Star Citizen has raised $700 million in crowdfunding, and a gameplay reveal for its upcoming spin-off, Squadron 42, was recently shared.
