The story takes place shortly after Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, featuring themes of Luke Skywalker's legacy. Nioka discovers a mysterious lightsaber and embarks on a journey to learn about the Force. This manga connects to the High Republic era, expanding the Star Wars universe beyond films and cartoons. Viz Media has previously released other Star Wars manga, including adaptations of the original trilogy and the High Republic series.
