Starlink officially registered in Pakistan as government reviews operations
Elon Musk's Starlink has been officially registered with Pakistan's Security Exchange Commission, according to the Minister of State for Information Technology. The space board authority is now reviewing technical aspects related to its operations in the country. The government is developing a regulatory framework for low earth orbit satellite companies, including Starlink. This comes after Musk expressed his anticipation for approval to launch Starlink services in Pakistan. Pakistan has faced slow internet speeds, ranking low globally. A new undersea internet cable project, expected to enhance connectivity, is underway and will be operational by late 2025.
