State basketball quarterfinals begin Tuesday in Minnesota
The state basketball tournament kicks off on Tuesday with 32 teams competing for victory. The teams include schools from Class 4A, 3A, and 2A. In Class 4A, the first game is at 10 a.m., featuring Rochester John Marshall against Cretin-Derham Hall. Other matches in this class include Apple Valley versus Maple Grove at noon, Moorhead facing Wayzata at 2 p.m., and Anoka playing against Shakopee at 4 p.m. Class 3A games will also start at 10 a.m. with St. Paul Harding going up against Mankato East. Following that, DeLaSalle takes on Orono at noon. Duluth Denfeld plays Totino-Grace at 2 p.m., and Byron faces Alexandria at 4 p.m. In Class 2A, the games begin later in the day. Pequot Lakes will compete against Waseca at 6 p.m., with Montevideo facing Breck at 8 p.m. Two additional matches will be held at Williams Arena. Pelican Rapids plays Albany at 6 p.m. and Minnehaha Academy meets Caledonia at 8 p.m. Live updates and scores will be provided throughout the quarterfinal games.
