Staten Island's largest pre-Passover kosher food distribution
A Jewish organization in Staten Island plans to hold a large distribution of kosher food before Passover. The Council of Jewish Organizations (COJO) aims to support families and seniors facing high food prices. The event will take place on April 2 at 5 p.m. at Aur Torah Sephardic Minyan in New Springville. It will be a drive-through distribution to make it easier for people to get food. Participants need to confirm their attendance by emailing COJO. COJO has been serving the Staten Island community for over 50 years. It represents more than 60 Jewish groups and has recently expanded to support more Hasidic synagogues and communities. Last year, COJO provided over two million meals to families in need. Its programs help not just during Passover but throughout the year, including summer meal distribution for children.
