Stelling critiques Tuchel for benching England players

However, Stelling is concerned that Morgan Gibbs-White and Dominic Solanke did not play at all in either match. Gibbs-White has been strong this season with Nottingham Forest, and Solanke has performed well for Tottenham. Both players were on the bench but did not see any action. In a post-game reaction, former Manchester United captain Roy Keane noted that while Tuchel's start was solid, there is room for improvement. He mentioned that despite the team's victories, the overall performance and decision-making need to be better. Stelling took to social media to express his confusion over Tuchel's decisions, asking why Gibbs-White and Solanke were not given any playing time. Instead, Tuchel chose to keep starting Harry Kane, who scored in both games and has moved further ahead as England's all-time leading goalscorer.
