Stephanie White departs as Connecticut Sun coach after two successful seasons

Stephanie White is no longer the head coach of the Connecticut Sun, the team announced on Monday. She led the Sun to the WNBA semifinals in both of her seasons, finishing with a 28-12 record this year. The Sun's decision comes as the seventh coaching change in the WNBA since the end of the season. White had previously mentioned dealing with a family emergency and was not focused on her coaching future. White achieved a franchise-best 27-13 record in her first season and was named the 2023 WNBA Coach of the Year. She has also coached the Indiana Fever and Vanderbilt University, and played five seasons in the WNBA.
