Stephen Graham offered to adopt Thomas Turgoose after loss

Stephen Graham, the 51-year-old actor known for his family-oriented roles, recently shared a touching story about his past. While filming the 2007 film This Is England, he formed a close friendship with co-star Thomas Turgoose, who was only 13 at the time. Tragically, right after the movie wrapped, Turgoose lost his mother to cancer. Graham was concerned about Turgoose's wellbeing after the loss. If Turgoose’s relationship with his estranged father did not work out, Graham offered to adopt him. In a podcast interview, Turgoose recalled the difficult time he faced. He felt confused and lost, adapting to a new life after his mother's death. Ultimately, Turgoose’s father proved to be a dedicated and hardworking man. The two formed a strong bond. Turgoose later shared that he and his father are best friends now, despite the initial challenges. Graham, along with co-star Vicky McClure, also promised to support Turgoose as he journeyed into the acting world. Turgoose appreciated their commitment and said they assured him that their friendship would continue long after filming ended.
