Stephen Miller defends Musk against leftist criticism
Stephen Miller defended Elon Musk on Friday, claiming that a "radicalized hard left" is behind recent attacks on Tesla vehicles and their drivers. Miller, who is the White House Deputy Chief of Staff, joined a wave of support for Musk amid reports of arson and road rage incidents targeting Teslas. In a post on social media, Miller stated that parts of the left must not return to power. His comments followed a video he shared that showed a masked man confronting a female Tesla driver in Seattle. The man, wearing a ski mask, accused her of driving a "Nazi car." The driver, identified only as "Leigh," recounted how an SUV cut her off and the man then approached her car to berate her. He told her she needed to sell her car because of its association. Miller, a former aide to Donald Trump, suggested that these incidents are evidence of a larger conspiracy against Musk and Tesla. He pointed out the increase in anti-Tesla sentiment since Musk's appointment in government, which has led to job cuts. Meanwhile, data shows that Tesla trade-ins have reached record levels. Analysts report that 1.4% of vehicles traded in at dealerships were Teslas, up from 0.4% a year ago. Miller’s support for Musk comes as the two share a similar critical view of government officials, with Musk backing Miller’s claims about the Department of Education.
