Steve Brown shares IVF journey and parenthood experience
Steve Brown, known from the show "Escape to the Country," recently shared his personal journey into parenthood in an interview. At 43, he and his partner Becca welcomed their baby girl, Lyra Rose, on June 18, 2024. They announced the happy news in February 2025 after keeping it private for several months. The couple lives in Sittingbourne, Kent, and they are adjusting to their new life as parents. Steve expressed gratitude for the kindness they received from friends and followers. He described little Lyra as energetic and joyful, saying, "She’s a good little girl and full of energy!" Like many new parents, Steve and Becca are experiencing sleep deprivation. Steve humorously noted that parenting can be relentless. However, he emphasized that the joyful moments, like witnessing Lyra's early milestones, far outweigh the challenges. "The love that we've got for each other and Lyra outweighs any kind of tiredness," he said. Steve also opened up about their IVF journey. He explained the importance of being open about their experiences. "Neither myself nor Becca has any qualms with talking about IVF," he noted. He shared that it was essential for them to have a baby due to complications related to their fertility. The family enjoys their home, which is near the beach and outdoor spaces perfect for Lyra. Steve feels fortunate to have a supportive environment for their daughter's upbringing, highlighting that the area offers everything they want for her development.
