STF arrests three for fake educational documents in Lucknow
Lucknow police have arrested three people for making and selling fake educational documents. The arrests took place near Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya School. The special task force (STF) found fake mark sheets, certificates, and other documents. The suspects are Altaf Raja, Krishna Kumar Srivastava, and Lakshya Rathore. Police seized 51 forged documents, two laptops, four mobile phones, and fake rubber stamps. They also took a Hyundai Venue car and a Honda motorcycle from the accused. The STF had received information about a gang producing fake documents in Lucknow. They acted on this tip and found the suspects near the school, leading to their arrest. Altaf confessed to creating fake educational documents and had previously teamed up with another person to run fake verification websites. Altaf has a criminal history, having been arrested in 2017 for similar crimes in Delhi. Lakshya was also jailed before for his involvement in a fake document case in 2019. The gang used several fake website domains to convince clients of their legitimacy.
