The storm could produce surges of 2.1 to 3.0 meters in Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, and Isabela, and 1.0 to 2.0 meters in Ilocos Sur and Aurora. Residents in low-lying coastal areas are advised to avoid the coast and cancel marine activities. Ofel is currently located 165 kilometers east-southeast of Tuguegarao City, with maximum winds of 185 kilometers per hour.
