Storm warning issued; residents urged to prepare
Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has ordered provincial governors to remain alert for summer storms. This directive aims to ensure support for residents impacted by severe weather. The warning follows a report indicating that summer storms typically occur from March to May. Between 2022 and 2024, these storms resulted in 44 deaths and damaged over 217,000 homes. Authorities are tasked with monitoring weather forecasts, issuing alerts, and inspecting vulnerable structures. Emergency response teams and equipment are to be prepared for quick assistance to affected communities.
