Streamers excited about Overwatch 2's new 6v6 mode
Overwatch 2 streamers are excited again after the game introduced a new 6v6 open queue mode. This experimental competitive mode has been praised as a great addition by many in the community. The mid-season 15 update for Overwatch 2 brought several changes, including collaborations and balance updates. However, the standout feature is the temporary 6v6 mode, which allows players to form teams without strict rules, apart from a limit of two tanks. Fans have wanted a return to the 6v6 format for a long time. Popular streamers, including Samito, have returned to Overwatch 2 to try out the new mode. Samito said it was the most fun he has had playing the game in years. Flats, another streamer, also shared his enjoyment, expressing that this is how Overwatch should be played. KarQ, known for his informative videos, mentioned the need for both 5v5 and 6v6 to exist together, highlighting the benefits of each mode. He believes that while 6v6 needs some balancing, it has great potential. Jay3, a former Overwatch streamer, also enjoyed the mode but was disappointed it is only available for a limited time. Blizzard is monitoring player engagement to decide if the 6v6 mode can return permanently after its run ends with Season 16.
