Strict lifestyle management essential for diabetes care

Prayagraj: Allahabad University held an international seminar on diabetes on Tuesday. The event took place at the Ishwar Topa auditorium and attracted over 300 participants, including faculty and research scholars. The keynote speaker, Prof. Shailja Mathur from Rutgers University, discussed important interventions for people with Type 2 diabetes and those at risk of developing it. Her presentation focused on the theme of the seminar, "Innovative Interventions in Human Health and Disease." Prof. Mathur shared examples of successful intervention programs at Rutgers University, particularly aimed at the South Indian population. She stressed the importance of strict lifestyle management for those with diabetes and prediabetes. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sangita Sreivastava, also spoke at the seminar. She highlighted that diabetes is now considered a serious metabolic disorder affecting many people worldwide.
