Strong winds in New Jersey caused power outages for thousands of homes and businesses on Sunday night. By 10:30 p.m., about 5,500 customers were without power, with JCP&L and PSE&G reporting over 2,000 outages each. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory, predicting gusts up to 50 mph. These winds have been strong enough to knock down trees and power lines, leading to increased outages across the state. As of 10:30 p.m., JCP&L reported 2,367 outages, PSE&G had 2,146, and Atlantic City Electric noted 708 outages. Utility companies are working to restore service.
