Students clean 12 tonnes of waste from Yagamso River
Over 180 students cleaned up 12 tonnes of waste from a 1-kilometre stretch of the Yagamso River in Itanagar on Friday. This effort was part of a clean-up drive for the International Day of Action for Rivers. The initiative, led by the Youth Mission for Clean River, involved collaboration with local schools and organizations. Participants also conducted a door-to-door campaign to raise awareness about waste disposal and its impact on river health. The event aimed to inspire students and residents to take responsibility for environmental conservation. It highlighted the importance of community involvement in protecting natural resources.
