Students demand investigation after vice-chancellor's departure
Students at M S University celebrated the departure of Dr. Vijay Kumar Srivastava, the former vice-chancellor, by bursting firecrackers. They had previously protested at his official residence and are now calling for an independent inquiry into his actions. The students submitted seven points for investigation, including delays in awarding PhD degrees and halting new PhD registrations. They claim these decisions forced many students to seek admission elsewhere. Additionally, Srivastava is accused of delaying research resources and harassing faculty deans. Allegations of corruption and misuse of vehicles from private contractors have also been made against him.
