Students from La Purisima join classes at St. Barbara during power outages in California
St. Barbara Catholic School in Santa Ana welcomed over 120 students from La Purisima Catholic School in Orange due to planned power outages by SoCal Edison. The outages aim to reduce wildfire risks amid strong Santa Ana winds. The students from La Purisima attended classes in various spaces at St. Barbara, including the library and gym. They participated in combined classes with their hosts, ensuring their learning continued despite the outages. Both schools are part of the Pax Christi Academies, a network of five Catholic schools established by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange last year.
