Subway introduces hot cross bun toasties in UK
Subway is launching new hot cross bun toasties in time for Easter. Starting March 19, customers in the UK can enjoy a footlong slice of sweet, spiced bread. The hot cross bun items will be available at all Subway locations for a limited time. The first option is a regular hot cross bun toastie, priced at £1.79. The second option is a Cheesy Bacon Hot Cross Bun Toastie, which costs £3.99 for a six-inch version or £5.99 for a footlong. This dish includes streaky bacon, American-style cheese, and BBQ sauce. Cathy Goodwin, Subway's culinary director for EMEA, expressed excitement about these new menu items. She said the offerings combine the love for hot cross buns with Subway's baking skills. She believes this limited-edition menu will be popular this Easter, available until the end of April. Customers can order these new items through delivery apps like Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat, or directly at Subway restaurants. There are over 2,132 Subway stores across the UK. This menu update follows the recent introduction of the Spudway jacket potato. This customizable option is available from February 19 to April 15 at selected locations and features toppings like cheese and beans or chicken tikka. Earlier in the year, Subway also added new dishes to its menu, including a Mexicana beef crunch sub. Prices for some new items start at £2.99. If you enjoy takeout, there are ways to save money. Cashback websites and discount codes can help reduce costs. Alternatively, buying ingredients from supermarkets can be more economical. Students may also qualify for discounts at certain restaurants.
