Sugar stocks decline despite rising BSE Sensex

The stock market saw mixed results on Thursday morning, with the main indices rising but sugar stocks falling. The BSE Sensex rose by 427.15 points to reach 75,876.2, while the NSE Nifty50 index increased by 129 points to 23,036.6. Some sugar companies experienced gains. DCM Shriram Industries was up by 5.10%. Other gainers included Uttam Sugar Mills, Bannari Amman Sugars, and Kothari Sugars, with increases between 0.21% and 1.02%. However, many sugar stocks declined. Dalmia Bharat Sugar dropped by 1.87%, while Triveni Engineering and several others also saw losses. In the broader market, Titan Company and Bharti Airtel were among the top gainers in the Nifty50, both seeing increases of over 2%. Other notable gainers included Tata Consultancy Services and HCL Technologies. Meanwhile, Bajaj Finance led the losses, dropping by 2.06%, along with several other companies that experienced declines.
