Sujith Das reinstated as SP for ICT

Sujith Das has been reinstated as an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and is now the Superintendent of Police for Information, Communication, and Technology. He was recently suspended for criticizing higher officials but has returned to duty. He takes over from S. Deva Manohar, who has moved on to become the Additional Excise Commissioner (Enforcement). Sujith Das has previously worked as the District Police Chief in both Pathanamthitta and Malappuram districts. The changes were part of a reshuffle announced by the State on March 25, 2025. In another transfer, Merin Joseph, who was the Superintendent of Police for the Crime Branch in Thiruvananthapuram, has been assigned as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Policy). She replaces Kishore Kumar, who will now work as the Controller of Legal Metrology in a newly created position. This new role of Controller has been established for one year and has the same status as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Personnel). Similarly, the new Additional Excise Commissioner position also has equal status. These appointments follow the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules of 2016.
