The Sundance Film Festival has added two new documentaries to its 2025 lineup. Andrew Jarecki's "The Alabama Solution" focuses on incarcerated men exposing a cover-up in a dangerous prison system. Bao Nguyen's "The Stringer" investigates a scandal behind a famous 20th-century photograph. This marks Jarecki's fourth project at Sundance, following his acclaimed works over the years. Both films will premiere in the Premieres category at the festival, which starts on January 23. With these additions, the festival will showcase 88 feature-length films from 33 countries, enhancing its documentary offerings centered on themes of justice and truth.
