Sunny Deol urges Bollywood to prioritize storytelling like South
Anurag Kashyap has decided to leave the Hindi film industry because he finds it too toxic. He expressed his frustration, saying that the focus is now on making big profits instead of films with creative value. Kashyap mentioned that he envies filmmakers in the South, as they have more freedom to experiment with stories. Sunny Deol has echoed Kashyap's concerns. At the launch of his new film trailer, he emphasized the need for Bollywood producers to learn from their South Indian counterparts. Deol humorously suggested that the strength of his acting has already been recognized in the North and that it’s time for the South to take notice. On a serious note, he highlighted the importance of scripts in filmmaking. Deol stated that in the South, the script is considered the hero of the film. He shared thoughts on potentially moving to the South, saying, "It might happen that I go and settle there." At the event, Sunny Deol also discussed the opportunities he and his brother, Bobby Deol, are getting after their recent successes with 'Gadar 2' and 'Animal.' He mentioned that they feel no pressure from the industry, and it’s about time they received such work.
