Sunrise and Khara have announced their first collaboration, a new anime series titled Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The series was revealed on December 4 at the Gundam Conference WINTER 2024 and will be directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki. The series will premiere as a film in 373 theaters across Japan on January 17, 2025. Tickets go on sale December 13. The story follows a high school girl, Amate Yuzuriha, who becomes involved in illegal mobile suit duels. The film features a notable cast, including Tomoyo Kurosawa as Amate and Yui Ishikawa as Nyaan. This release is part of a broader expansion of the Gundam franchise, which includes new games and films.
