Sunrisers Hyderabad signs Ishan Kishan for Rs 11.25 crore as Mumbai Indians miss out on RTM option
Ishan Kishan was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 11.25 crore at the IPL 2025 auction. Mumbai Indians, his former team, could not use their right-to-match card due to retention rules, having already kept five capped players. Mumbai Indians had retained Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Tilak Varma, leaving no RTM option for Kishan. They bid up to Rs 3 crore but did not secure him. Kishan debuted in the IPL in 2016 and has played 105 matches, scoring 2,644 runs. He returned to Mumbai Indians in 2022 after being released, previously bought for Rs 15.25 crore.
