Super Typhoon Pepito brings heavy rain to Bicol and nearby regions this weekend
Super Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, is expected to bring heavy rainfall to the Bicol Region this weekend, with over 200 millimeters of rain forecasted. The storm is currently located 180 kilometers east-southeast of Virac, Catanduanes. The Philippine weather agency, Pagasa, has issued Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 for Catanduanes, indicating severe conditions. Other areas, including parts of Calabarzon and Central Luzon, are also expected to experience intense rainfall. Pepito is moving west-northwest at 20 kilometers per hour and is projected to make landfall in Catanduanes late Saturday or early Sunday. The storm is expected to cross Luzon and exit the Philippines by Monday, November 18.
