Super Typhoon Pepito injures two and affects over 852,000 in the Philippines
Super Typhoon Pepito has injured two people and affected over 852,000 across the Philippines, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. Most cases were reported in Central Luzon. Of those affected, 111,658 individuals have been displaced, with 75,581 in evacuation centers. The storm has also caused approximately P855,326 in damage to crops, impacting 52 farmers. As of early Sunday, Pepito was located 85 kilometers northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte, with maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour. The government has provided over P45 million in assistance.
