Super Typhoon Pepito maintains strength as it approaches Aurora and Northern Quezon

Super Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, remains powerful as it approaches Aurora province and Northern Quezon. The storm's speed has increased from 15 to 20 kilometers per hour, with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph and gusts up to 230 kph. Pepito is expected to make landfall in Aurora on Sunday afternoon, then move across northern Central Luzon and southern Northern Luzon. The storm is projected to exit Luzon by Sunday night. Wind signals have been updated, with Signal No. 5 lifted from Calaguas Islands and now in effect for Patnanungan, Jomalig, and Burdeos in Polillo Islands. Other areas across Luzon are also under various wind signals.
