These areas are now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5, indicating extreme wind threats. The Philippine weather agency, Pagasa, reported that winds exceeding 185 kilometers per hour are expected in these regions within the next 12 hours. Other areas are under lower wind signals, with varying levels of threat to life and property. As of the latest update, Pepito has maximum sustained winds of 185 kph and gusts up to 305 kph, moving northwest at 25 kph. Residents in vulnerable areas are advised to follow evacuation orders and local directives.
