Super Typhoon Pepito moves over Caramoan waters in the Philippines
Super Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, is currently moving west-northwest over the coastal waters of Caramoan, Camarines Sur. It has maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h and gusts up to 280 km/h. The storm is expected to approach the Calaguas Islands and make landfall in northern Quezon or central/southern Aurora later today. It will then cross northern Central Luzon and southern Northern Luzon. Pepito may weaken as it moves over land but is likely to remain a typhoon. It is projected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday morning.
